The name's John, but most people call me something like Sonic, Sonic the Ranthog, Sonic Ranticoot (the latter two come from a combination of my favorite two game series + my tendency to go on long rants on varying topics (re. Activision, and sometimes Capcom and Superbot Entertainment)), of course Magmortar75 and other titles. John, Sonic, Sonic Ranticoot or Mag works best though.

I'm an artist, and also a gamer, who resides in south-central Ohio even though I think those first two were very obvious. (really, you're on deviantART. You should know better.) Visiting my gallery or my favorites collection should immediately inform you of some of my tastes: I'm a big fan of Sonic the Hedgehog, Crash Bandicoot, various Capcom franchises, the Marvel Universe and other series. Those first two series are the ones I grew up and generally mean the most to me. Capcom's endless list of entertaining fighting games and platformers have killed endless hours pleasently, Marvel has a long list of incredible films and characters. And the rest.

To put it briefly, I'm an ordinary guy. I'm generally pretty friendly, but if you set me off you will never hear the end of it. Trust me.

I like artworks of all types, especially if it isn't really something I've seen before, but I tend to stay away from shipping. I'm not a fan of it and how it frequently absorbs people, although there are a few pairings I like that I tend to be quiet about.

I currently accept requests and art trades, but not many at a time. I'll keep my journal updated for when the quene is full and the like. I don't take commissions yet though.
