still alive
yes I am aware art has been posted at a glacial pace. this was obviously not my intention. that's just kind of how things went. I hope for 2024 to be a more productive and better year and I hope that for all of you too
Small update
As you may have heard on Twitter or whatever, deviantart has introduced some stricter policies, especially for more fanservicey content. So in the situation that something fucked happens and I get suspended for something (as I have seen happen to others over this!), I highly recommend following the Rantman on some other websites, such as: Twitter / X (what the fuck is Musk doing?): SonicRanticoot Bluesky: sonicranticoot.bsky.social Newgrounds: Ranticoot Tumblr: SonicRanticoot FurAffinity: SonicRanticoot (I haven't actually uploaded anything to here in ages but I do still use it): SonicRanticoot Of the ones above Newgrounds and FA are the ones where I upload essentially everything nowadays. I also have an account on (but have not used it for art) pixiv, sonicranticoot. Until further notice all my art will still be posted to deviantart, though it may be in censored form when I feel it is appropriate. I did come back from my beach trip and have still been drawing a lot, but mostly
Greetings
I took a very, very long break. And. I also think soon (idk when but hopefully in the next month) instead of just doing mass re-uploads I'll just zip a bunch of stuff I posted here together for anyone who wants it. I may go back to a lot of old drawing ideas this year. But being motivated is the most important part!
Well I'll be
deviantART actually listened to the community for once, and let me tell you, despite that outrage before, I still really, really, really don't want to leave my oldest art site totally behind. And man. I made it a goal this year to finally hit a four-digit number of watchers, and I am so close to that! However what happened was REALLY bad and frankly it strikes me as conditioning for more or worse. This site already makes you pay for NFT protection, and as bad as AI art theft may be, I think that STILL might be above NFTs. Did they really put any thought into the decision to try and get their entire userbase into AI? I'm still processing what to do here because again, I don't actually want to leave deviantART and if they are willing to show they have changed at all - it is a good sign - but man. This year has been absolutely atrocious for artists in too many ways I can think of and what are undoubtedly more ways they have yet to be invented. I will probably start sporadically
